Making sense of what’s stuck. Creating what’s next. Psychotherapy for life transitions and personal growth.

As a perfectionist practicing balance, a parent and someone who has navigated my own career change, I understand the pull to keep pushing. As well as what it costs when you do it for too long. That shapes how I work: with honesty, warmth and grounded in respect for the courage change requires.

My approach draws on Narrative Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to help clients explore, reframe and work through life’s challenges. As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, I bring both training and intention to creating a space that feels safe, empowering and genuinely yours.

Sessions are rooted in Narrative Therapy and the belief that the stories we tell about ourselves shape how we move through the world and that those stories can be examined, questioned and rewritten. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms or problems, we explore the meaning you make of your experiences and work together to build a richer, more empowering account of who you are and where you are headed.

I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become.

Professional Background

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) (#10957) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I have completed my M.Ed. in Counselling Psychology at the University of Ottawa.

My professional background includes work in a university counselling centre, supporting students with burnout, anxiety, identity development, relationship challenges, meaning-making, self-compassion and stress management, as well as a community mental health centre, assisting individuals navigating complex trauma, grief, loss, life transitions and nervous system work.

Like many of my clients, I've navigated a significant professional transition myself: from a career in law to the work I do now. That experience gave me a deep familiarity with the pressures of high-stakes professional environments, the culture of perfectionism and the weight of identity that gets tied to a career.

Beyond this, I bring fifteen years of experience working, volunteering and educating in community-based settings and legal systems, including courthouses, women’s shelters and feminist advocacy organizations. My approach is also informed by living, studying and working across diverse communities, including rural northern settings, major cities as well as internationally in South America.‍ ‍

Where life has asked the most of us, we often find our greatest capacity to grow, transform, evolve.
